St. Louis,MO (May 2019) – Give STL Day 2019, May 1, was a success! Donors exceeded our request of $4,000, and donated $5,286. Donations received from this years Give STL Campaign will be used to help our Magnificent Creations Teens be #HBCUbound this summer.
Our MC teens will visit Fisk University and Tennessee State University; both located in Nashville, Tennessee. Fisk University and Tennessee State University are two of the most recognizable HBCUs (Historically Black College or University) in the nation. Students will not only experience college tours, but the rich African American history rooted in each institutions legacy.
This opportunity would not have been possible without the generosity of our amazing donors. Prior to the local day of giving, Unleash Potential received two $1,ooo donations to kick off our Give STL Day campaign. One donation was from Lawson Screen and Digital Products, Inc. Lawson is a premiere provider in the screen printing industry. The other donation was provided by an anonymous donor. Individual donors started giving as early as 12:07 am on May 1. These acts of kindness will help Unleashing Potential continue to fulfill our vision of a St. Louis community where all children, youth, and families live into their potential!
